SUPPORT STRATEGIES FOR NAVIGATING LIFE'S UPS & DOWNS
Tuesday, March 24th at 1:00-2:30 PM
Dogwood Books and Gifts
254 E. Putnam Ave., Greenwich
Join us for an informal and meaningful conversation with Sedef Orsel, LCSW. This gathering offers a supportive space for those dealing with life’s ups and downs. She will discuss coping mechanisms for those dealing with caring for family members and friends with long term or chronic illness, grief as a natural response to the loss of a loved one, as well as the ambiguous losses that can arise from other non-death-related circumstances such as job loss. This is an opportunity for people in these situations to provide encouragement to each other, exchange experiences, and learn new skills and tools for dealing with challenging life situations.
Sedef is a trauma and grief therapist. She is a researcher, educator, published writer, ACPI Certified Coach for Parents and Families, and a certified Connection Parenting instructor. In addition, she is an adjunct professor at Fordham University Graduate School of Social Services where she teaches graduate courses on cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma and social policy.
