It’s time to don your dirndl or lederhosen and celebrate Oktoberfest with GNN! Our Gourmet Club is gathering on September 20th for a German‑themed potluck. Karin Fry will be our gracious host, and we’re looking forward to an afternoon of hearty food, good friends and plenty of gemütlichkeit (warmth and good cheer).
What to bring: choose a recipe from one of these cookbooks and make enough for 40 samplings of your dish:
A Taste of Germany – a collection that brings the flavors of Germany to your table with dishes ranging from beef rouladen and sauerbraten to pork schnitzel, bratwurst, beer‑grilled chicken, cod in mustard cream sauce, and desserts like apple strudel and Bethmännchen cookies thriftbooks.com.

German beer and wine will be flowing, and you’re welcome to bring your own beverage if you have a particular German spirit you’d like to share. Our Gourmet Club’s mission is to foster a love of food and cooking, provide opportunities for culinary exploration, and build community—so let’s make this Oktoberfest a feast to remember!

In this presentation , he will discuss some of the most common "con games" used to deceive people and will share practical tips on how to recognize and avoid them.

Lace up your walking shoes and grab a water bottle-it's time to hit the trail! Our walks at Tod's Point are a great way to enjoy the outdoors and connect with others.
* Duration: 60-90 minutes
* All levels welcome! If needed, we'll break into groups based on pace.
* Meeting Spot: Second concession stand near the flagpole.
* Start Time: We'll wait 10 minutes for everyone to arrive.

Coffee Morning FAQ
I'm new to Greenwich and don't know anyone. How will I know where to meet the group?
We are excited you are joining us and promise we won't bite! If we are hosting coffee morning at a private residence, you will find the address on our website. Sometimes we meet at a park, cafe or local business, you will be able to spot our group. Just look for the Greenwich Newcomers Club sign. Continue to follow us on Facebook and Instagram or visit our website for updates on upcoming Coffee Mornings.
Should I bring anything?
No need to bring anything. We will provide the coffee and snacks. Part of membership dues help support these events.
Can I bring my Child?
Many people bring their children to our Coffee Mornings, so please feel free to bring the little ones.
Can I bring my spouse or friend?
The more the merrier. Please let us know when you register who you will be bringing.
How long does the event generally last?
Coffee Mornings generally last two hours. Don't worry if you can't make it at the start of the coffee. Come when you can and leave when you need to. We're flexible.
If I have any questions, when should I contact?
Email greenwichnewcomers@gmail.com . If the coffee morning needs to be cancelled due to weather or illness of the host, we will send an email and post on our social media.

Join us at the incredibly popular Pickleball America in Stamford Town Center for an exciting day of play, socializing, delicious food, and refreshing drinks!
Everyone is welcome. Courts will be divided by skill level. If you don't know how to play, it's a great time to learn. We will have a pro available to teach you this fad-tastic game. There are paddles and balls to borrow!
